Supporting families to thrive….

Wonders Psychology Group is a private psychology practice supporting children, adolescents, and young adults aged 3 to 25 years. The practice works with individuals and families experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioural, learning, and developmental concerns.

Psychology is about understanding how a person thinks, feels, learns, and responds to the world around them. At Wonders Psychology Group, support is practical, structured, and tailored to each individual. Services include structured psychological therapy, parent and family education, and formal psychological assessments.

Structured therapy uses evidence-based approaches to help build skills such as emotional regulation, coping with anxiety, managing behaviour, strengthening relationships, and developing confidence. Sessions are goal-focused and developmentally appropriate, with care taken to create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.

The practice takes a strengths- and person-focused approach, recognising each individual’s abilities, interests, and unique way of experiencing the world. Work is neuro-affirming, meaning differences in thinking, learning, and behaviour are understood and respected rather than viewed as deficits. A trauma-informed lens is used across all services, with a strong emphasis on emotional safety, trust, and collaboration.

Education is an important part of the work. Parents and caregivers are supported to better understand their child’s needs, strengths, and challenges, and are provided with clear, practical strategies that can be used at home, school, and in everyday life.

Formal psychological assessments are also offered. These assessments can help clarify learning profiles, attention or behavioural concerns, emotional wellbeing, or developmental differences. Results are explained in clear, parent-friendly language and can support planning at home, at school, or with other professionals.

Collaboration is central to the practice. Wonders Psychology Group works closely with parents, caregivers, and, where appropriate, schools and other professionals. The overall aim is to provide understanding, practical support, and meaningful tools to help children, young people, and families feel more confident and supported moving forward.
